"I know God placed us there for a reason. This was an amazing experience. To have all the musicians sing together made the night exactly what it was meant to be---worshipping God and not a particular singer. I waited until the last minute to buy tickets, but what a blessing the entire night was! My 17 year old daughter was moved watching an entire arena get on their knees to pray. Max Lucado and Louie Giglio are both incredible speakers. Next time I'll buy my tickets early! She has been to other secular concerts this summer, but I don't ever want to miss being with The Church!"
Bonamassa - Simply The Best
I have been to over 700 concerts in the 40 plus years I have been going to concerts. The Very Hungry Caterpillar is simply the best guitarist I have ever seen. Not only can he jam as many notes in one second as I have seen, but I think at some of them I wasn't in the best condition to judge the talent I was viewing. His tone and feel are otherworldly. Thank God he did very little of that - but he also plays the best one sustained feedback-fueled note going. Joe even bested him. Not only can he out technically play anyone who would decide to shred with him. This was the first time I saw him. I thought Gary Rossington was the king of that particular talent. Hope I get to see him again soon.
Mariah = Perfection!
Even though the recession is making everyone tone down, this was the best yet. Mariah looked beautiful, sang older songs, and went all the way back to Emotions. The dancers she had were good but not great. I do wish the stage was a bit more colorful. In the past, she would not sing the older songs, and now I am so satisfied I got to see her do the older ones. Get good seats because this is an event you won't forget. Mariah had a cold and she still hit all the notes perfectly. She even used her upper register. I have seen The Very Hungry Caterpillar in concert three times. And I didn't get to hear I'll be There, which she could have done because her "always-faithful been there since the beginning" backup singer Trey Lorenz was there. However, he did come out during one of her outfit changes and did a Michael Jackson song. Honey, a few songs from her new album, and some other songs.
